A workshop on setting boundaries.
Learn how to set boundaries so that you can finally discover your true self.
Boundaries are simply the lines we draw for ourselves in terms of our level of comfort around others. There are several different types of boundaries:
emotional (protecting our own emotional well-being)
physical (protecting our physical space)
sexual (protecting our needs and safety sexually)
workplace (protecting our ability to do our work without interference or drama)
material (protecting our personal belongings)
time (protecting the use, and misuse, of our time)
In dysfunctional families, boundaries are never the same from day to day, and often there are no boundaries at all. They shift and change depending on the emotional climate of the people in that dysfunctional family. Many of us spent a lifetime giving away our power to others. Often we lost the inborn sense of what was rightfully ours – our personal integrity – sometimes mistaking our lack of boundaries for gentleness, acceptance and love.
We may be “people pleasers” and have trouble saying “no”. We may not have a sense of who we are, what’s OK and what’s not.
In this workshop you’ll have the space to discover what boundaries are important to you, and how to start putting these boundaries in place, so you can start having a sense of who you really are, and feel safe in your life.
Saturday August 6th, 12.30 - 2.30pm EST.
