When I was younger, I took my dog to the vet, and as I was walking in, there was a gentleman walking out, and he was bawling. He said,” This the worst day of my life!” And I thought, geez, dude, get a life! A number of years later, I had to put my cat down, Mrs. Robinson. And if I didn’t know better, I would swear that you were ripping my heart out through my chest when I left her with the vet.
Our pets get into our hearts in such a way that some people may never understand. Typically, people who have never had a pet down that had become part of the family. Even when they get sick, it’s heart wrenching. I wish Kiki the best. And I wish you, Andrea, peace and forgiveness and gentleness as you go through this time or Kiki is sick.
