You can’t think your way into safety. You can’t journal your way out of survival mode. If your body still feels tense, reactive, or numb — that’s your inner child telling you the work hasn’t reached them yet.
2️⃣ Talking to your inner child isn’t enough — you have to feel what they felt.
That sadness you can’t explain? That freeze you can’t shake? That’s your body still holding your childhood story. You can’t logic your way out of it. You have to feel it.
3️⃣ Reparenting Has to Be Somatic to Work.
Your inner child didn’t just need kind words — they needed to feel safe in their body.
Safety isn’t something you say. It’s something you practice. That’s what breathwork does: it gives your inner child the felt sense of safety they never had.
